Fiver Challenge

Fiver Challenge

The Fiver Challenge, is a free, fun and engaging initiative for primary school pupils across the nation. Each participant taking part is pledged £5. With their fivers, participants are challenged to set up mini-businesses and to create products or services that they can then sell/deliver at a profit and engage with their local community.

The Fiver Challenge introduces young people to the world of enterprise and helps build important employability skills, such as risk taking, team working, problem-solving, communication, and financial literacy, which they can continue to develop in later life. It is flexible, allowing teachers and pupils to incorporate their product selling into Sport's Days, school shows and any events with family members that their school offers.

There are weekly competitions of Logo Design, Sales Pitch, Advertisement and Trade Stand. There is an Awards Celebration Ceremony in September each year for winning students and teachers. Winners are notified in July (we understand that Scottish schools are on their summer holidays during the time, they will be required to give a personal email) so that travel and permissions can be arranged.
