Bakey Cakey

Bakey Cakey

A group of five girls from Kings Park Secondary started a company called Bakey Cakey as part of one of our Programmes. They gave an excellent presentation to a Dragon's Den panel which consisted of Rab Macdonald, a member of our training team, Kevin Kelly the Deputy Head and Mary Teresa O'Donnell from the Glasgow Girls Wedding Guide.

The group pitched their idea and following some probing questions and deliberations from the panel, Bakey Cakey were granted their loan request of £50 which they used to buy ingredients to make cupcakes and truffles. They then went on to have a successful sales afternoon.

Lorraine who worked with the girls said, "these girls have worked very hard and have consistently demonstrated hard work and commitment and really deserve their success."

I loved being a 'Dragon' today! What a superbly gifted and talented group of young entrepreneurs you have in training, thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon!
