Rueben's Sponsored Walk won the National Tenner 2014 'Highest Profit' and 'Most Inspiring Individual' Awards in the 5 - 11 years category. Rueben attended the prize day in London with his Mum.
The day consisted of a tour round the Google offices followed by the Award Ceremony and a trip to the Rainforest Cafe in Picadilly. Everyone stayed over in London and it was a great day for the winners.
Rueben made an impressive £1,571.20 from his initial £10 investment and was the only young entrepreneur from Scotland to receive a prize in this UK-wide competition.
The Tenner Challenge was a UK wide competition where entrants were given £10 to try and make as much money as they could throughout the month of March. The entries were judged by an external judging panel that comprised of volunteers from a range of businesses. This panel said Rueben was "a hugely inspiring participant who used his personal story and turned it into a selling point to win the hearts and minds of all who sponsored him! A great use of a tenner!"
Our Tenner Campaign is designed to inspire the next generation of budding entrepreneurs. It gives young people the chance to think of a new business idea and make it happen, using real money. We congratulate Rueben on his outstanding business success. Not only has he scooped the Highest Profit award as well as the Most Inspiring Individual Award in the 5 - 11 years category, he is the only young entrepreneur to win an award from the whole of Scotland.
