A free national enterprise challenge, helping students to gain confidence and prepare for the world of work.
Students are pledged £10 from the Tenner Bank and use this start-up capital to get their enterprise off the ground.
They have one month to set up their business coming up with an idea of a product or service they can sell and gain first-hand experience of what it’s like to be an entrepreneur. Whilst the aim is to make as much profit as they can, students are encouraged to think ethically and sustainably. They will have the opportunity to make a positive contribution to society and give back when choosing how to use their profits.
Easy to access online resources are provided to support teachers and students with ideas, inspiration and motivation. Students compete with teams across the UK in a range of national competitions including Best Team, Highest Profit and Best Community Impact.
Tenner provides the first practical steps of running a student company and can be used in preparation for taking part in Company or Team Programme or as a stand alone programme.
