Catriona (aka Cat) has a passion for learning and finding new ways of engaging the young people she works with on the Pathways Programme. As a trained Careers Professional Catriona uses her 23 years of experience to showcase the potential that the young people have to themselves and others. Confidence is key and encouraging young people to have the confidence to 'learn by doing' is her mantra. Equality of opportunity is the aim of the programme, by highlighting that everything is 'learnable' and opening up new horizons for the learners who come along to the Rouken Glen Centre. Whether it is setting up a mini-enterprise, participating in landscaping projects or creating something new from upcycled material, Cat enjoys it all and encourages the young people to seize each opportunity available to help them move into their 'new reality'.
Unlike her nickname Cat prefers dogs and you will find her walking for hours with her four legged companion Bailey in as many parks and hills as possible.
Our Vision is for Scotland to be a place where all young people are given the opportunity to have a rewarding future in work and life - no matter where they start their journey.
Our Mission is to inspire and equip young people, irrespective of their background, to learn, develop and reach their full potential through enterprise education.
In everything that we do, we will work with the following values: Integrity, Enthusiasm, Creativity & Collaboration.
