Julia joined Young Enterprise Scotland as a receptionist and admin support in 2013 after a long break from the workplace and has progressed to the role of Fundraising Executive using our very own 'learning by doing' method. Fundraising is an essential part of keeping the organisation going and it is satisfying winning bids with trusts and foundations both monetarily and as a vote of confidence in what we do.
She has enjoyed seeing how Young Enterprise Scotland has evolved over the last few years with a highlight being the move to the beautiful Rouken Glen Centre. It's rewarding watching young people flourish as they progress through programmes.
Julia is very creative and is always tinkering with something, such as sewing, felting, baking or needlepoint. She love films and theatre too, especially horror, and has met lots of famous actors such as Daryl Dixon and the Governor from The Walking Dead and the original Freddie from the Nightmare on Elm Street films.
Our Vision is for Scotland to be a place where all young people are given the opportunity to have a rewarding future in work and life - no matter where they start their journey.
Our Mission is to inspire and equip young people, irrespective of their background, to learn, develop and reach their full potential through enterprise education.
In everything that we do, we will work with the following values: Integrity, Enthusiasm, Creativity & Collaboration.
