"Richard Cormack Corrigan was born in Dublin but took the scenic route to Scotland by way of Spain, Italy, and France, where he worked in travel and tourism. He settled in Aberdeenshire in 2003 and since then he has had a diverse career gaining experience in business across a variety of sectors including: hospitality, conference sales and events, national and international tourism, and corporate social responsibility.
Married to a Stonehaven lass with 2 primary school aged children, Richard always wanted to work in a school environment and is passionately aware of the importance of properly preparing our young people for the realities of work. He recently trained to be a primary school teacher. Richard is responsible for the YES School Programme delivery in Aberdeen/ Aberdeenshire, Dundee and Tayside, and Perth and Kinross. Working with entrepreneurship in schools is the dream job for Richard as it combines his experiences with his passions. Richard is also a Project Manager for Elevator UK where he facilitates business Accelerator programmes.
When not trying to make the world a better place Richard is usually found behind the wheel of Dad Taxi or meeting friends for (virtual) coffee. His claim to fame is that he once received a standing ovation from the members of the rock band U2 and their families.
Our Vision is for Scotland to be a place where all young people are given the opportunity to have a rewarding future in work and life - no matter where they start their journey.
Our Mission is to inspire and equip young people, irrespective of their background, to learn, develop and reach their full potential through enterprise education.
In everything that we do, we will work with the following values: Integrity, Enthusiasm, Creativity & Collaboration.
