James Montgomery is a Bridge2Business Programme Executive working in south-east Scotland. After a varied career working in financial services, hospitality and for an international charity, James joined the Young Enterprise Scotland team as a Programme Executive in 2018. He has delivered the Bridge2Business programme across Edinburgh, Fife, West Lothian, and the Scottish Borders. James enjoys a challenge and is always looking to help students be innovative and creative. He led the first Young Enterprise Scotland international programme to The Netherlands and taught a business and entrepreneurship programme for international students at Yale University.
When James isn't helping college students to flex their enterprise skills he is likely working with young people in another capacity, either in the water at Belhaven Wave Project, or through his voluntary work with Penicuik Community Alliance. If you want to find James in his happy place you will have to be up early. If you are lucky you might spot James out on a morning cycle ride, or down in his yard, sipping on a freshly -coffee whilst watching the sun rise with his 4 chickens, Smeckle, Missande, Rita, and Antonia.
Our Vision is for Scotland to be a place where all young people are given the opportunity to have a rewarding future in work and life - no matter where they start their journey.
Our Mission is to inspire and equip young people, irrespective of their background, to learn, develop and reach their full potential through enterprise education.
In everything that we do, we will work with the following values: Integrity, Enthusiasm, Creativity & Collaboration.
