Brian is Business Development & Evaluation Manager at Young Enterprise Scotland, with over 12 years' teaching and management experience in Further and Higher Education. With prior commercial roles in Financial Services and Oil & Gas Recruitment, Brian currently leads on Business Development and Evaluation that supports Enterprise Programmes for students and young people in Scotland's Schools, FE Colleges and Universities.
Now responsible for representing YE Scotland externally with strategic partners to maintain and develop new and existing relationships and to enhance the portfolio of Programmes, in line with the Strategic Aims & Objectives of the organisation, Brian supports the Scotland Can Do Enterprise eco-system activities and is a Mentor for the Young Scottish Talent Pathways Programme.
As a former Lecturer, Brian began working with YE Scotland in 2013 and managed the Bridge 2 Business Programme team who engagea nd support activities that enable young people to develop skills to launch their own business and consider self-employment as a realistic and viable career option. Graduated with Honours in 2001, Brian completed his Postgraduate Studies in 2010, and is currently reading for his PhD Research in International Enterprise & Entrepreneurship with a focus on Further and Higher Education.
