As Bridge 2 Business Programme Executive for Forth Valley, Fiona moved to Falkirk from Edinburgh, in May 2020.
This came after 4 years of setting up and running catering social enterprise, Prep Table. Working with people affected by homelessness, mental health challenges, prejudice and addictions within the biggest homelessness charities in Edinburgh along with having a base within the NHS Lothian training centre, Prep Table was aimed at changing the food industry. How it treats its employees, customers and the environment.
Fiona decided to move-on, and it was then agreed that Prep Table would merge with youth charity Scran Academy. Fiona remains involved on a trustee level and is very proud of how the organisation has grown so dramatically in such a short space of time.
Fiona feels that joining Young Enterprise was natural, as she has seen first-hand the challenges and the successes that entrepreneurship can bring to young people.
Outside of YES, Fiona is a mentor for School For Social Entrepreneurs UK and having been a chef for a number of years before getting into enterprise, she still loves cooking and learning about different produce.
Fiona is also an avid reader, traveller, Russian culture enthusiast, and football fan.
Our Vision is for Scotland to be a place where all young people are given the opportunity to have a rewarding future in work and life - no matter where they start their journey.
Our Mission is to inspire and equip young people, irrespective of their background, to learn, develop and reach their full potential through enterprise education.
In everything that we do, we will work with the following values: Integrity, Enthusiasm, Creativity & Collaboration.
