After many years working in education and running her own business, Jan has joined Young Enterprise Scotland as a Programme Executive. She delivers enterprise education in Glasgow Schools, helping children develop key life skills. She is passionate about helping young people to improve their lives and about all things entrepreneurial.
Jan also has a passion for learning and has collected many qualifications and accreditations since graduating with a BSc in Social Sciences in 2007. She is also a Scottish Edge Wildcard winner for her business Liberise Ltd by designing Stoma accessories to help those who have undergone bowel surgery.
When she is not working or studying, Jan enjoys spending time with her teenage daughter who is studying a BA in Film Making at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. They especially enjoy watching movies and going to gigs when they can, as they share a love of film and music. Jan also loves all things creative and can often be found making jewellery or on her sewing machine.
Our Vision is for Scotland to be a place where all young people are given the opportunity to have a rewarding future in work and life - no matter where they start their journey.
Our Mission is to inspire and equip young people, irrespective of their background, to learn, develop and reach their full potential through enterprise education.
In everything that we do, we will work with the following values: Integrity, Enthusiasm, Creativity & Collaboration.
