Amy is our Volunteer & Alumni Co-ordinator and she looks after the administration for all YES volunteering and the Alumni network.
Amy has a degree in Music and trained as an opera singer, but then spent 10 years working on the management side of classical music, theatre and broadcasting before taking the leap into the world of enterprise to set up Music Bugs, her award-winning pre-school franchise. Armed with a cornucopia of puppets, props and percussion she delivered a programme of play-based, interactive music and singing classes for families, nurseries, Early Years' Centres, Carers' Hubs, Family Support Groups and primary children with Additional Support Needs. Amy loves organising creative things and people and so in her spare time she founded Glasgow MusicTheatre which she ran for 10 years with a particular focus on developing talents of young people.
Outside work, Amy is usually found singing, cooking or exercising. As a mum to two small children, Amy knows more than she ever wanted to know about dinosaurs.
Our Vision is for Scotland to be a place where all young people are given the opportunity to have a rewarding future in work and life - no matter where they start their journey.
Our Mission is to inspire and equip young people, irrespective of their background, to learn, develop and reach their full potential through enterprise education.
In everything that we do, we will work with the following values: Integrity, Enthusiasm, Creativity & Collaboration.
