Mary McPhail

Financial Education Officer

Mary is a Financial Education Officer in Aberdeen. Having worked in education for many years, her real pleasure has always been teaching. Nothing beats that 'lightbulb' moment when someone suddenly 'gets' what they didn't understand before!

Mary's role is to provide financial education workshops toS6 pupils in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire. She is one of 17 Financial Education Officers who cover the whole of Scotland. Knowing she can help young people to manage their money is something she's passionate about.

Although she's a big fan of horror films, Mary has never been able to sit through an entire screening of 'Jaws'. Only 11 when she was taken to see it, the scary music made her hide in the back of her seat!
