Circular Economy Project Shortlisted for Award

  • Young Enterprise Scotland shortlisted for a ScottishPower Foundation Award
  • Education Initiative shortlisting for Bridge 2 Business Programme
  • Innovative Project listing for Circular Economy Challenge

A total of 13 projects that have received funding from the Scottish Power Foundation this year gathered at a ceremony hosted at Scottish Power's HQ in Glasgow on September 25th . In January the Foundation announced a donation of over £1 million to charitable projects across the UK, from Aberdeen to Sussex, to support initiatives in local areas from theatre productions to science engagement programmes

Young Enterprise Scotland was shortlisted in the Education and Innovative Project categories for its Bridge 2 Business work with Borders College in Galashiels, and for its Circular Economy Challenge in Glasgow, respectively.

We're very proud to have been shortlisted for these awards. To be recognised for the success and the impact of two of our programmes is a great honour, and is testament to the dedication of our teams across Scotland.

A total of 30 schools are already signed up for our Circular Economy programme for the next session, and interest in theactivities grows every year.

Bridge 2 Business is giving students fantastic experience of business and the creativity that's shown every year is really inspiring.

Each charity supported by the Scottish Power Foundation this year is delivering outstanding work in their local community and it's a great privilege for us to support the work they do. The Awards ceremony is a chance for us to shine a light on the innovative and inspiring work being delivered by the projects and we're delighted to offer this opportunity for additional funding to support themfurther.
