Charity benefits from student coffee morning

The Care Staff at St Katherine's had a team building day recently where they took part in the Dragon Boat Race at Britannia Quay in Leith. When deciding on a nominated charity for the event, they opted for CHAS (Children's Hospice Association Scotland).

After hearing more the young people wanted to get involved and help them raise more fundsand so held a coffee morning which was incorporated with a parents day at St Katherine's.

By making home baking and serving bacon rolls and coffee, their efforts raised a fantastic £145. This was not only a great boost to the donation for CHAS, it also gave the young people an insight into how to run a café.
