Young Enterprise Scotland are delighted to announce that the YES Fife Area Board are in the running for not one but two awards for the upcoming 'Celebrating Fife's Voluntary Sector' event.
The Fife Area Board, who coordinate the YES Company Programme in Fife were nominated in both the Organisation Award and Volunteer Award sections.
Firstly for the 'Most Enterprising Organisation Award' which is presented to a group/charity/organisation that can demonstrate how enterprise and innovation has led to growth and sustainable development and how this has impacted on the local economy and benefited the local community. And secondly for the 'Team Volunteering Award' which is for a team of volunteers who are doing or have done exceptional work for the benefit of the community. We believe that the work Fife Area Board does with Young Enterprise Scotland was worthy of each category and luckily the organisers agreed and let us nominate them in both! We are told that the event will recognise all those nominated by presenting a certificate to each and then a winner in each category to be announced on the night too. There are 14 award categories in total that each celebrate the work and achievements of the regions voluntary sector. The event will be held on the 29th November so we will be sure to keep you posted on how it all goes.
