Young Enterprise Scotland will be kicking off Enterprise Week at St John’s the Baptist Primary School in Uddingston. Over 200 pupils from Primary 2 through to Primary 6 will be learning about the world of work, different jobs and visiting local businesses.Enterprise Week starts on Monday 19th November and we are looking for 5 volunteers to talk to a class of pupils about their job. The different classes will all have a slightly different focus but all are centred around jobs, employment, enterprise and skills.
The school would welcome volunteers at any time that suits between 9.00am and 12.15pm to give their short 10 – 15 minute talk.
The talks can be as interactive as you like and volunteers are encouraged to 'show and tell’ so please bring along anything that helps demonstrate your work. The pupils will be encouraged to ask as many questions that they can think of too!
The table below gives more details about what each of the classes will be learning during Enterprise Week to give interested volunteers a guide for how to relate their talk about their job to the topic primary pupils will be covering.
