Carrying on from our partnership with Auchenback Active Limited and Barrhead Housing Association on the Climate Challenge Fund project, our Pathways Programme Executive visited St Marks to see how they were coming along.
Tom visited the school, where he spent the afternoon showing pupils the exciting items they can make with recycled materials.
Due to the cold weather, they weren't able to work on the beds as they were frozen over, so instead they spent the morning working indoors.
Letting their imaginations run wild, the class turned the recyclable materials they had collected into Guardians of the Planters – scarecrows- for the pupil's market garden.
The next and final session for this year will be an hour long session to complete the planting by adding the scarecrows and a polytunnel cover over one of the beds.
