S2 students were tasked to create a new high street shop in Dundee. Over the course of the day students came up with a number of fantastic businesses aimed at various industries including hospitality and tourism.
The workshop had 3 themes throughout the day-
'Weird but Wonderful Ideas', encouraging the students to use creativity and innovation to come up with new products and services. Students are given insight into what organisations support Enterprise in Education and what support is available in Scotland for start up and growing businesses.
'Creating Sustainable Business Ideas', gives students the opportunity to explore and identify gaps in the market in order to launch a new high street shop in Dundee. Teams were tasked to appoint roles, conduct market research, manage finances, create a brand and marketing campaign.
The teams were then given time to concentrate on 'Planning& Presenting' as each team had to present their idea back to the class, highlighting each area they had researched into.
