When Lyle Hamilton and others from his schools set up Idiom The Idiom in 2018, as a Young Enterprise Company based in a Dumfries and Galloway High School little did they expect that Idiom would have grown to become a nationally recognised company and now developed into the Idiom Initiative.
It was therefore a great opportunity for Lyle, Managing Director of Idiom, when he was invited to speak at the Young Scot, Learner Journey National Discussion Day held at Glasgow Caledonia University - to talk about Idiom's journey from Young Enterprise Scotland Company to Idiom Marketing Ltd.
Expressing his passion for the Young Enterprise Company Programme, Lyle told the cohort of attendees that the Young Enterprise Programme has proven to be a life changing and pivotal learning curve.
12months ago I would have told you I was going to University and that was it simply because I didn't know there was other options. 12 months later, I am the Managing Director & Partner in a Marketing Company - working with a fantastic team!
Lyle went on to discuss the transferable skills developed through the Company Programme that he now uses on a daily basis with Idiom
