For the first time, Young Enterprise Scotland has had young people participate in our Team Programme.
The Team Programme is an enterprise journey similar to our Company Programme but designed specifically for students with mild to moderate learning difficulties.
Created to aid young people's transition from education into independent living and employment, the programme develops confidence and life skills through working as a team to set up and run an enterprise.
Traeskattir participating in Orkney College won first place in theBest Logo Competition, and our Orkney Chair Ian Carse went to the College to present the award to the team on behalf of Young Enterprise Scotland, along with their Business Advisor, Karen Scholes.
I would like to add a massive thank you to Young Enterprise for creating the opportunity for our team to compete nationally through the development of the Team Programme.
Traeskattir were also mentioned in Parliament last week by Liam McArthur following their donation to two Australian Firefighter charities during a college coffee morning fundraiser which ultimately made £510 for the charities.
Our Vision is for Scotland to be a place where all young people are given the opportunity to have a rewarding future in work and life - no matter where they start their journey.
Our Mission is to inspire and equip young people, irrespective of their background, to learn, develop and reach their full potential through enterprise education.
In everything that we do, we will work with the following values: Integrity, Enthusiasm, Creativity & Collaboration.
