One quality we like to see in entrepreneurs is the ability to get out there and get themselves and their great ideas noticed.
A great example of a young entrepreneur like this we came across recently was Marc Carruthers.
With a background in event and wedding entertainment through his playing in bands, Marc has established himself as a real up-and-coming photographer.
We were approached with his freelance photography earlier in the year, and one look at his site showed us everything we needed to see.
Since then we've had Marc's expert skills on hand for a volunteer project carried out with Marks and Spencers' when they took part in a muddy-boots day on site and worked to improve the pond at the heart of our centre.
Marc also came along to take photos of our Board of Directors as we worked to update the images on our site.
Possibly the biggest and most impressive addition we were able to make to his portfolio came as he photographed our range of #YESTartan items for use on our online shop.
We had tried and failed to create our own images suitable for promoting, however Marc was able to capture the vibrant nature of the tartan and with a stark background contrast, our products look incredible!
We were so pleased when we received Marc's speculative email, and even happier still when we saw the quality of work he presented to us.
We love being able to support local entrepreneurs and hope that our partnership with Marc continues to go from strength to strength.
