Venture from Fortrose Academy was awarded second runner up in the UK finals of Young Enterprise's flagship Company Programme (London 18th June 2019) and also brought home the Disney Creativity Award.

The team with their entrepreneurial Venture impressed the judges by their creative work to develop and produce a range of products to use with people living with dementia, together with the partnerships they formed within their community and beyond to ensure their products can reach those who could benefit from them.

HSBC Company of the Year Award (3rd)

Venture made it through to the national championship after becoming the overall winners of the Scottish finals which took place at the beginning of June, where they also scooped four other awards including the City of Glasgow College JourneyAward, won by team member Fin Davidson.

The Young Enterprise Journey Award is presented to the student participating in Young Enterprise's flagship Company Programme, who has made the most transformational journey this academic year. Fin was one of just three young people in the UK to reach the finals of the award after taking home the Journey award at the Scottish championship.
