YE Market Place Launch for Young Entrepreneurs

  • It’s been a long time coming, but YE Market Place is finally here!
  • Student Companies can now trade online across the UK, widening their target market.

We're pleased to be able to reveal to our Company Programme participants that YE Market Place will be launching at the beginning of November.

This marks a real move into the future of online sales, as it will allow our student companies to sell online across the UK.

YE Market Place is a bespoke online sales platform designed exclusively for Young Enterprise student companies and is available throughout England, Wales & Scotland. This is the only approved way for YE Student companies to sell online and to be covered by Young Enterprise's insurance.

With the focus of the Company Programme's marking having made a shift towards digitalisation, this is a game changer for young people being able to widen their target markets. As our young entrepreneurs are still of school age, this means that student companies are still unable to use alternative electronic payment such as PayPal, CashFlows or a card machine or to use any other online sales platforms including eBay or Amazon.

If your student companies want to be ready for launch, they have 3 weeks to register and start preparing their online stores!

This is plenty of time to get your company up and running, but you'll want to get started sooner rather than later.

Please note:The site will be mobile responsive for launch, but currently can only be accessed by a desktop or laptop whilst setting up. Student companies will be able to continue to register and open their online stores on Market Place after the launch date.

Stage 1: Getting ready

Before setting up on Market Place all student companies must have completed following:
