Young Enterprise Scotland Announce Three-Year Strategic Plan

The last three years for Young Enterprise Scotland has been a period for hard work as we sought to stabilise our position within the growing Scottish Entrepreneurial eco-system as Scotland's leading enterprise engagement organisation for young people. Whilst there have been many public facing successes, such as the launch and growth of new programme areas such as Bridge 2 Business within the tertiary sector and the Pathway Programme reaching out to those least advantaged both within and out with of education, so much work has been done beneath the surface to build a platform for growth in the years ahead.

The key factor that has enabled us to achieve the development of strong foundations has been the work undertaken in developing our team. As a finalist in the Family Friendly Working Awards and as a Gold Standard IIYP employer with a strong values culture now fully embedded, it has been the strength of our people that has enabled the organisation to be ready to take on the next phase with the launch of our new three-year strategy entitled 'Enterprise for All'

Our strategy, developed with a holistic and inclusive approach, over the last six months of 2017 charts a course for the organisation to capitalise on its position, building on recognisable strengths including our brand leadership and volunteer/alumni network and by enhancing impact through deep collaboration with similar minded values led organisations.

Finally, this strategic plan is about inclusion, it is about enterprise being an enabler for all no matter where your starting point in education or whatever your location in Scotland.

Young Enterprise Scotland will seek, through this strategic plan, to ensure that the young people of Scotland are supported to develop the skills that will stand them in good stead to have a rewarding future in work and life - no matter where they start their journey.
