Six students took part in the competition which was supported by their lecturer - Claire Thomson. They were given a design brief to create an "Eco Friendly" design, which also ties into Young Enterprise Scotland's Circular Economy programme.
Students drafted designs, and created mock ups of their trophy ideas out of MDF, to be judged. The final trophies will be made from a selection of different woods. There will be 10 trophies created in total, with 5 being a different design to the other.
The winning two students will now have their trophies made by the rest of the students in the class, in time for the company finals in a few weeks time.
