Pathways Programme

Pathways Programme

Our Pathway Programmes combine practical experiences with personal development support to stimulate the capacity for young people to ’learn through doing’. Pathways help each individual fulfil their potential and recognise their abilities whilst building confidence and esteem. They will help identify what career path the individual may like to follow.

The Pathway Programmes deliver SQA qualifications, practical work placement experience, volunteering accreditations and Internal Certifications to the young people with whom Young Enterprise Scotland engage with. The programmes run for 10 weeks with an optional 16-week support package where the learners can have access to one to one support, advice and guidance in relation to their next positive destination. The participants will work on live projects in a community setting thus enhancing their skills base and therefore their employability and access to opportunities.

The SQA & Volunteering qualifications available for participants to achieve are:

  • Level 2 – 4 Personal Development
  • Level 3 - 4 Employability SQA
  • National 4 Rural Skills - Soft Landscaping, Estate Maintenance, Crop Production, Employability and Land-based Industries.
  • Saltire Awards
  • John Muir Awards

It is our aim at Young Enterprise Scotland through our programmes to create opportunity and fulfil the potential of each individual with whom we engage.
