YE Scotland are looking to welcome a number of Volunteer Drivers to drive our minibus during the coming academic year. We are looking for responsible and committed individuals to drive the minibus at least one day per week. This will involve collecting small groups of young people from their school and bringing them to our site in Rouken Glen Park in the morning, after registration, and taking them back to school in the afternoon, before the end of the school day. We would also need the volunteer to be available during the day between picking the young people up and dropping them off.

Restrictions: Volunteers must be over 21 years old, under 70 years old, have been driving for at least 2 years, and have a valid and clean driver’s licence.

Experience required: Volunteers need to be comfortable working with young people. They must have a driver’s licence that allows them to drive a minibus for non-commercial purposes. Volunteers will need a PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) certificate and Young Enterprise Scotland will help volunteers through the application process if necessary

Due to our previous chair Caroline moving on from her role, we are looking for a new Chair within our Glasgow Local Area Team

Becoming a Young Enterprise Scotland volunteer will challenge and reward you. The excitement and satisfaction of mentoring, of transforming attitudes and helping young people open their eyes to the world of enterprise keeps many of our volunteers coming back year after year.

Caroline has done a wonderful job and we’re sad to say goodbye, but we look forward to bringing a new perspective to the team.

We have opportunities for individuals to get involved with our Company Programme either as Business Advisers or as members of the Local Area Team.

By joining as a volunteer you have the opportunity to help develop enterprising skillsets among our young people and help to deliver the best experience while participating in the programme. We welcome new individuals across all of our regions, but currently we have more opportunities within Glasgow, Lanarkshire and Fife.

We have a dedicated team of volunteers, led by Anne, who each dedicate a few hours per week to ensure that the young people on our site recieve a warm and filling meal while they work with us. Many of these young people rely on our volunteers to provide them with the only proper meal they will eat that day.
